@th3j35t3r The shiny bit near the top looks like scar tissue to me. (Not that this photo could be conclusive--the shine could be hair grease, makeup, an artifact.)
Only a tiny wound could heal this well in two weeks. Which is also consistent with the blood on his face and how little it affected him. As @mcfate said, ear gauges entail bigger holes than that.
So he was grazed by a bullet, so what? This is the US, people get shot all the time. Easy to believe, means nothing. He's still an ass.
I continue to have questions about his continuing to have an EAR at ALL, with no apparent or reported effects on his hearing, and no concussive damage to his skull.
How come ammosexuals don't understand how bullets work?
@mcfate @th3j35t3r Bullet, bullet fragment, bit of debris -- I admit there's a very narrow window of mass, speed, and proximity to the skull to produce a wound like that, apparently ¼-inch of tissue literally shaved off. ¼-inch closer to his head would have shredded the whole ear.
The other plausible explanation is that he was wounded when the SS agents took him down.
All I know is is that he still has an ear, his hearing, and no concussion, and to the best of my knowledge, these things are incompatible with having had a bullet traveling at supersonic speeds pass within a quarter inch of your head.
Physics and human anatomy have no political views.
@mcfate @th3j35t3r Muzzle velocity > velocity after 120m travel, and if fragments are considered, there's a wealth of possible subsonic objects.
And what's the velocity after 120 meters of travel, then?
What "fragments"? Bullets don't spontaneously "fragment" in flight.
You have this inclination of making things up out of thin air to bolster a weak case you're trying to make. It's a bad habit.
@mcfate @th3j35t3r
Thanks for filling in the missing piece -- sort of. If it was a whole bullet that grazed his ear, the sonic boom would have at least deafened him or stunned him. A fragment, though, would have slowed more quickly.
What's your theory? A radio-fired squib taped to the back of his ear?
And I'm definitely not going to be subscribing to any theories that involve Trump engineering his own shooting, somehow, not unless they account for the two other corpses.
Were the "supposed" shooter and some random fireman supposed to have volunteered to be "Tributes" or something?
How do you figure that worked?
@mcfate @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
The best catastrophes involve "collateral damage." Often the gun man has been specifically chosen/groomed and is not a professional. It confuses the analysis.
Of course trump didn't plan anything... he's got handlers t do that for him. He was playing a role from the grabbing his ear to the "Fight Fight"
Do you really think that trump wouldn't participate in this-if he wouldn't get hurt & be a conquering hero as enters the RNC.. all MEDIA attention on him?
@QueenOfEverything @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
"Often"?
You're talking about spy novels or movies, I think, not reality.
Show me an "often" set of such occurrences, please.
I really think that Trump got shot by a rando and was as surprised as anyone else, since that's the simplest explanation.
You seem in search of the most complicated one.
@QueenOfEverything @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
Frankly, I think the theory you're pushing here verges n paranoid ideation.
You've got mysterious figures hypnotizing someone into getting himself killed.
That stuff can't be done in reality. The CIA spent three or four decades and millions of dollars proving to themselves that you can drive people nuts, but you can't "control their minds".
Brainwashing doesn't exist. It's a myth.
@mcfate @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
Okay, last comment from me.
I would never have believed that the January 6th Insurrection could have happened in our country.
trump was the figurehead - he didn't plan all of it and execute it and he stood in a tent and watched the violence, chaos and destruction on tv, letting it all continue.
People were killed. He wouldn't have stopped the hanging of Mike Pence.
This "assassination attempt" would be easy. It also doesn't bode well for what could happen
@QueenOfEverything @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
You're saying "would be easy" is a tremendous expression of Dunning-Kruger Syndrome. No part at all of this would be "easy".
I'm muting this.
@QueenOfEverything @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
Or specifically, shot AT by a rando, who seems to have missed every time — the dot on a red dot sight at 135 yards would be the same size as Trump's entire HEAD — who hit something that hit something that clipped Trump's ear.
But I can't see how it could've been a bullet that hit his ear, not on a straight shot.
@mcfate @QueenOfEverything @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
Did you see this photo taken by Doug Mills (NYT photographer) that appears so show the bullet whizzing past him? It looks like this was right when he was flinching and starting to reach up to his ear.
@nonayadambidnes @QueenOfEverything @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
"Looks like" is doing a tremendous amount of heavy lifting here.
@mcfate @QueenOfEverything @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
Yeah honestly I don't know. I think somewhere online there's more info with the timestamp of the photo etc but I can't be arsed to look for it.
@ImagineThat @mcfate @th3j35t3r
I vote for the squib! I've watched the clip dozens of times. Watch trump's face... he's following a rehearsed act- there's no terror of someone shooting at him- fighting the agents to pull him down, and then to pop up again for his starring photo.
@QueenOfEverything @ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
Explain the two other dead people.
@ImagineThat @th3j35t3r
I don't have a theory, and I haven't heard an explanation of how a 5.56 fragments unless it hit something else first.
All I've been saying is that you can't both have had a bullet pass within a quarter-inch of your head at the same time that it was far away enough to cause no concussive damage, which is Ronny "Drunk and Demoted" Jackson's version of events. Which is the only one we have.
