Someone asked yesterday if our decision to replace our gas appliances with electric was "political." I honestly don't understand the question. For one thing, there were incentives: they were all old, and we got rebates for their replacements, they add to our house's resale value--so, narrow self-interest. For another, what's the difference "political" and "not political" anyway?
