True story: new director of nursing calls their subordinates together to get acquainted. Asks what they need. Nurse says, we need more people, as you will soon find out when you get called in 24/7 to work unfilled shifts. Director says, yes, staffing is tough everywhere. What else?
@ImagineThat I think the proper response to that is "We cannot fix the other issues until the staffing issue is fixed, so let us know when you've got that sorted, and then we can move on to other troubles".
