I asked for 2lbs of potatoes for the mash. Just the 2lbs, no more, no less. I get 8lbs, why you ask, because the bags were 2 for 3$'s, wtf am I going to do with that many potatoes, and where am I going to store them

Cooked potatoes can be frozen in meal size for future dinners.
Another great soup is Fully Loaded Baked potato soup. or a Zuppa Toscana clone from Olive Garden. or a potato, corn, & ham chowder. There are sooo many ways to use a potato.

I never had much luck freezing potatoes. Cooked potatoes. They always come out grainy. But I never tried freezing potato soup! (With out chunks of potatoes)
Maybe a food bank?
@IRNMKE3 you could make potato leek soup or similar and freeze or can it? You could plant some and grow your own come spring. Or make morning potatoes- hash browns/or home fries? Or maybe a loved one would like some?
