I stopped at a fast food place but instead of the drive-through I went to the walk up counter. There was no register. They take your money and carry it over to the drive-through window. We used to call that the sneaker-net. When did this become a thing?

Is that what happened? There was a kiosk and I walked past it? I ran into something like that at the pharmacy - multiple treatment rooms and out in front a large work surface with tablets for the purpose of checking in. All of them OOS.
