Bought this couch in 2019. The fabric is not “W” (for being able to clean with water), dry clean only. It’s been 5 years now and I can smell people’s feet smell now when I lay on it. 🤮 Thinking about unzipping the cushions and washing the fabric in the washer anyway & air drying them? Plus it now has a dip (red circle) where everyone seems to put their weight on that spot. I have been sitting on the other side lately to try to balance it out. I don’t feel any broken coils underneath? Any tips?
@AverageCitizen that's why I don't mess with upholstery furniture, it can be difficult to deal with after awhile, once you smell it, you can't un-smell it, and it just snow balls in your brain,🤔 😂

@AverageCitizen to make this productive though, for the short term. Remove the cover off the cushion, soak for 24 hours with half cup of baking soda, then wash with a pound of baking soda,may or may not work, just an fyi

Yeah, I made the mistake of turning my face towards the rear of the sofa so my dog couldn’t lick my face if I fell asleep and that’s when I smelled the feet smell!
I think the next time I buy a sofa it will be leather.
