You ever realize broadcast sports announcers are essentially digital bards?
The whole reason they are highly paid is because they are able to weave a story instantaneously about live events in a way that makes it memorable to us?

@Hobyrim My esteemed spouse would disagree, but then he has a scary recall of play by play, even long past games. NFL in particular results in lots of "corrections" from that poetguy in the next room
