The funeral of ex-US Army Green Beret Nick Maimer was earlier today.
Nick had a non-combat role training soldiers of the TDF in Kyiv. When the brigade he was training deployed to Bakhmut, he made the decision to fight alongside them.
Most of them made it back; Nick didn’t.
