@SeanRFrazier bon jovi qlways put on a good show.. i grew up in jersey so got to see him in concert several times
@HardisonParker Yeah, it was a great show for sure!
@HardisonParker Diana Ross at the Waldorf Astoria.
@Lou_Rattacasa oh stop. In he name of love
Lol. How was the show?
@HardisonParker It was her first solo tour. She changed costumes behind a scrim on the stage. I'd been wanting to see her (with the Supremes) since 1965.
I've seen her many times since including Radio City, Central Park, Giants Stadium and the Palace Theater.
She is magnificence.
@HardisonParker Rolling Stones 1964
@Telebutch when they were young!
@HardisonParker so was i
The Gin Blossoms at six flags in New Jersey. It was a total coincidence, absolutely sparked my love of live music and confluence.
@SteveSaidby sounds like a great adventure 😀
@HardisonParker Foreigner. Not sure who opened. Might have been Sammy Hagar.
@LisaSnapped fitting. Bet when you see them again it will feel like the first time.
@HardisonParker ha! I see what you did there. 😎
@HardisonParker
600,000 attendance;
Watkins Glen 1973 Summer Jam
Grateful Dead, The Band, Allman Brothers.
Red arrow ~ approximate location; 40 ft from only water spigot in entire audience; we had 'front row' for the nude mud bathers
🥂🥂🥂🍾
@zenmudprod that must have been something.
@HardisonParker
The ensemble 'glow' remains, but détails are hazy. We hitchhiked west from NJ, to approach from Pennsylvania (thought it an easier route than trying north in NY first).
Grateful Dead played a two hour soundcheck Friday night; then returned for a long morning set.
Both are on archive-dot-org 🤓
Look for "Grand Prix July 27 (then 28) Grateful Dead" and you can relive it.
😍
@HardisonParker
Here's one memory (true) ~ we straggle out of Watkins Glen Park, sometime Sunday morning ~ with $1.27 to get home.
😂
Kids running, passed us and replied to my "Why?" (running) with:
"bro, we have Led Zep tix for tonight, at Mad Square Garden!"
🎶🎵🤔🎶🎵
That weekend's two MSG shows, became their movie:
"The Song Remains the Same"
(and the hotel safe theft of Led Zep's >$275K was never solved)
@zenmudprod great memory!
@HardisonParker Halloween night, 1970, Hiram Bithorn Stadium, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico: Santana.
I was a freshman in HS, just turned 14.
@HardisonParker Aerosmith, Toys in the Attic tour. I had seen smaller show's and dances with big names, but this was first stadium show. 6th row. Amazing.
@GamerzATX nice
@HardisonParker KISS with Cheap Trick opening.
@kaessa that must have been a crazy show
@HardisonParker It was AMAZING. I was in Jr. High, went with my little brother (the KISS fan) and we had an absolute blast. Had no idea who Cheap Trick was, either.
@HardisonParker Skid Row and Bon Jovi. Missed most of Skid Row because we got there late.
