While I'm on my morning garden ramblings, project balcony jungle is well underway. The rains, have perked things up nicely and there's less heat wilting this morning. I have had comments from neighbours about wanting to know the types of flowers Im growing. I will convince my neighbours to grow more greenery somehow! Also, sorry for the clutter, my garden is not tidy and I dont have room to hide tools, bags, and containers "nicely"!😅

Spent all day doing garden things. Some things were exciting, other things, (looking at you certain seeds that have failed me every year for 5 years) were not. 🙃

Looking at all these seeds, with only a few seeds in each one, gave me an idea. Rather than do the same thing over and over and fail. I just put them all into a little bag together, mixed with vermiculite. I'm just gonna throw them all into a planter together. They can sort themselves out. 🤣

Welp. XCOM 2 runs beautifully on the new rig. Back down the rabbit hole I go. Spent too many hours already on it, but dammit, it's fun.

Tidying done, windows open to let the fresh evening air in. Watered the greenhouse plants. Feels good to be done the cleaning. Now I have the evening to myself.

It's beautiful and sunny here today, but the wind is absolutely FRIGID. My plans for balcony work are not happening today. 😬

So, I made a grilled chicken salad and some veggie spring rolls for dinner, and will spend the rest of the evening cleaning the house so I don't have as much of it to do next week when we have various techs and people here to fix things.

Excuse the bags and clutter. I'm trying to finish cleaning the balcony, but the high winds and constant dove visits make it hard. 😅

I knew we had three #MourningDoves at least that were regulars. The nesting pair and an extra. Rei just let me know that there are 5 now. I looked out and sure enough there is a small flock out there! Two on the railing, one in the feeder tray, and two on the ground. (You can just see the tail of the 5th one by the curtain. I was wondering why I had to refill the seed so much! 😂

Anyone know if Janet is in the process of resurfacing? I know she nukes and restarts her accounts now and again. Has anyone seen her pop up yet? She's one of my main follows here since I joined.

The babies fledged last week. The doves are still coming to the feeder, and may be looking to nest again. I'm so glad the nest was used again. Unfortunately I don't have great pics of the babies. Here's the last few I got of the evening of fledging. I'll see if I can get Rei to post his shots to his never used account later. 😅

Time for me to disconnect, soak in the tub, and find some muscle relaxants in the medicine cabinet. I did way more work than I planned to today after groceries, and my shoulder/neck are screaming at me.

If there's one thing I love more than anything about Counter Social, it's the sense of humour, even when Google is being a massive jerk.

Had to call the repair place today. Rei's wheelchair is busted. The rubber on the wheels has deteriorated over time, and with the lack of use over the covid lockdowns, it's just not been used.

Wish me luck that we don't need a new chair! 🙃
