We saw Guardians of the Galaxy 3 on Sat. It was really good, sad, and there is a trigger warning re: animal abuse that I'm sure everyone knows about by now.
Anyway, fun fact: Rocket the dog was loosely named after Rocket Raccoon (this isn't really a spoiler - we always knew he was really a raccoon). We always said that Tank looked like a raccoon and so before we "picked" Rocket, we didn't know his coloring. Still, he kinda reminds us of Rocket Raccoon nonetheless.

@mcfate rocket's "official" name is Gen Don Carlos Buell AKA "Rocket" (Tank is named after Ulysses S Grant and Buell and Grant were both the winning Union generals of the battle of Shiloh - they are Shiloh Shepherds)
Anyway, I wanted to add "trash panda" to Rocket's official name, but I got outvoted 🤣
