Even if Biden wins, about 69M Americans voted for hate, chaos, and stupidity. That's almost 30% of the US adult population. About 40% of this US adult population couldn't be bothered to vote. About 2% of the US adult population are disenfranchised due to felony convictions. I don't know how many are disenfranchised due to poverty/other reasons.
@Dane @ACG2 I've thought the same, though fundamentalism isn't going away and they are raising younger generations. Let's just hope in lesser numbers. The biggest issue is I see is that the poor keep on getting poorer and that includes poor white people, and the GOP will continue to keep them wallowing in poverty and scapegoating POC and immigrants so they can continue to get their votes.
@ACG2 I've been doing a lot of reading to try and understand trumpism. It turns out that certain personality types are drawn to authoritarian leadership. Some is genetic (nature), but most of it is nurture. Those who have fundamentalist religious upbringing are more prone to it since they are taught to not question authority. They blindly believe the lies can't see the hypocrisy.

@H3athers how interesting! I can see the connection to them and cult followers.
@ACG2 certainly a large swath are also racist, but many actually believe trump when he says he's the least racist person in the world.
They are brought up to believe on faith and ignore facts.
@H3athers That is the primary issue. The world is wondering how can this election possibly be close, instead of the landslide towards Dems?
