@H3athers my friend's Malinois(?) Looks similar now that I see him again, no floofies, no slope back like a GS. Such a sweetie, he was trained as a police dog and failed the bite test, he is not as fluffy as Tank but I see so much Tank when I see him.
@USAPatriot Wisdom Panel considers him 100% GSD, but Embark recognizes the Shiloh Shepherd breed. The first Shilohs were bred from European lines. Some were bred with White Shepherds. The lines were picked for size and temperament (Shilohs are about 20% bigger and calmer than GSDs).
Malinois are usually smaller than GSDs, but they definitely have similarities.
Tank has a plush coat, but they also have smooth coated shilohs. Plush/long coats are disqualifying to GSDs.

@H3athers yes! King is redder and tightly furred, but shares Tank's handsome markings and carriage. Seems slender and shorter compared to GS & Shilohs.
