Not planning on contradicting my wife, just wondering if I missed part of the news cycle.
Has anyone heard of a toaster spontaneously begun toasting then bursting into flames if left plugged in without actual bread product in its slot?

@chuck34108 I think it cycles around. There have been cases and news reports but few. Of course it only takes one to stoke fear.
