Trans legislator Danica Roem, of the Virginia State Senate, was misgendered from the podium by GOP Lt Governor Winsome Earle-Sears. Earle-Sears was asked to apologize but instead shut off her microphone and walked out. Reportedly she was asked for an apology again, in the hallway, and refused.
Finally she returned and publicly apologized, although her apology was couched in victimhood, citing the times she was not afforded proper respect.
