So... If I can trust the internet, baking soda and white vinegar can solve all life's problems from "how to clean my nightmare hell pit of an oven" to "how to create an economically viable fusion reactor", right?

A woman (50s?) at a Māori fried bread truck, grinning and exclaiming: "We've GOT to get some for the whānau." She immediately orders 8.
Her husband tries to correct her saying, "How about we get 2. They're pretty big."
He immediately gets THE LOOK and hurriedly says "Yeah, 8 is about right." (2)

A man (20s) walking with his partner who is holding a steaming hot pie. He says in an unmistakable Boston accent. "You're just gonna eat that big ass pie yourself are ya? None for me? That's seriously what you're gonna do?"
She shrugs. "Yep" and takes a huge bite, grinning smugly as she chews. (3)

A no nonsense woman at a patisserie stand. She buys pastries, then, unprompted, abruptly says: "I have a food philosophy. This is a part of it. It's not a joke."
The vendor smiles and shrugs with Gallic chill. "Pastries are a serious business. I don't question people's choices." (4)

A man (70s) with his face and arms covered in tattoos pushing a small human in a pram. Grandad is making car noises as they're going along and this is a V8 supercharged vehicle. Small human is chortling with happiness, which turns into outright cackles when they screech around a corner. (5)

Any typos spotted in this post are regretting that they did not stop at this restaurant for lunch, which was playing Nick Cave's Red Right Hand through their street speaker. If spotted, please give them a burrito and check they're alright. Yeah? Alright.

@GeorgePenney
