Judge Cannon is a good example of why life tenure is a problem for federal judges. She knows she has no legal basis to even ask about the use of an investigative tool outside of her jurisdiction. (And that's giving her the benefit of the doubt because it's worse if she doesn't know this). She's just trying to buy him more time. It's disgusting.
