@AskTheDevil Do you know who Niel Gaiman is? If so what do you make of the allegation against him? If not, sorry for bugging you. 😵‍💫

@GFerro1965 @AskTheDevil i know who he is, & i find the allegation plausible... after all he dumped his wife & children to go chasing after Amanda Palmer. i suspect he suffers from that male malady of being full of himself & using his "fame" to take advantage

@GFerro1965 @AskTheDevil patriarchy teaches boys bad information. mothers need to do a better job countering that shit, & it requires starting from very young

@AskTheDevil @GFerro1965 true, but if dad has bad info to teach, mom needs to be countering that & training him too.

@redenigma @GFerro1965 Yes. I
I'm just generally annoyed that when men fall down on the job, women are expected to pick up the pieces.

@AskTheDevil @redenigma Seems like me women have been getting raped since the beginning of time because men think we are there to strictly relieve there needs and catch their semen. Its exhausting.

@GFerro1965 @AskTheDevil at one point, women were revered... patriarchy has tried desperately to erase all knowledge of that. patriarchy is terrified that if women have power they will treat men the way patriarchy has treated women.

@redenigma @GFerro1965

To be fair, that's likely true. When you create a system where one group has special privileges and rights over another, that's pretty much what happens.

@AskTheDevil @GFerro1965 but there's no real reason to think that men treating women (or any other group) as equals means they will subjugate men. they have only themselves as an example though, & that's what they did...

@redenigma @GFerro1965

I do believe that people who oppress others or accept the oppression of others to their own benefit, will definitely be biased to believe that were the situations reversed, they'd be treated the way they treated others.

But I don't believe being male or female makes you more or less inherently likely to oppress other people, barring cultural pressures. I think if women were big and men were small, women would have been the "patriarchy".

We need equality! : )
