Whew! One batch of pickled okra done and one batch of tomato/pasta sauce in the canner. Now I can relax until it's done. Fighting vine borers on my squash so I suspect they are done for the season.

@Foxthorn Canning is a lot of work! I used to do it when we had a big garden. The results are always tasty and welcome in the winter months! Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

@GrandmaJ It felt like it took all day just to get 9 little jars, but I know come winter I'll appreciate those little jars because store bought tomatoes are not the same.

@Foxthorn Not even close. I eat fresh tomatoes every day all summer and when frost is predicted, I pick all the green ones and put them in brown paper bags where they will ripen.
