I’m going to be so excited when I don’t have to get in a car or on a freeway to commute to work.
My current commute is short by so many standards, but new will be super short.
The thing I’m most nervous about in switching gears in my career is what to wear. I’m very happy wearing scrubs to work. 😭
Advise for comfy, well made, business casual basics for a “new professor classic” capsule wardrobe would be most welcome.
@yogapaddlerun I once had an adjunct professor teaching a summer class who showed up on day one in a tube top looking thing with spaghetti straps. One of the students complained to the head of the dept. On day two she showed up and announced that, as a lawyer, she owns a lot of suits and if we want business attire, she's happy to oblige, but she would be requiring that the students all wear business attire as well. We finished the summer in shorts and tank tops. #comfort
