@Jacki I'm biased, but yes, she is! And thank you. xx

@Jacki The beautiful cat sitting in the front seat on your profile sucked me in! 😻

@Florence
Thanks ...
My beautiful Butchie passed away several years ago at age 14 from cancer. I still miss my little buddy.

@Jacki Oh no, I'm so sorry. I lost my 18 year old girl from Mammary cancer at the beginning of covid and miss her every day. They never really leave us, do they? Butchie was absolutely gorgeous. xx

@Jacki I've had cats all my life and, every now and then, you find a soul mate. Tessie was mine, abs it sounds like Butchie was yours. This was my Tessie. xx

@Jacki @Florence I lost my 17 YO Felix in November - I miss him everyday. He was a lot of comfort for me after my wife passed.Now I have this 8 month old cutie Ogo (on the right)

@NorthernInvader @Jacki Felix was beautiful too. They all are. Tessie really was my soul mate and I think I'l always miss her. Ogo is gorgeous too though and, hopefully, like Flossie for me, helps to re-warm your heart. xx

@Florence @Jacki Like you I've had cats most of my life - all were/are rescues. Ogo (short for Ogopogo the name the SPCA gave her) was born in the wild and was feral for her first 6 months. I got her a couple of weeks ago so the bonding will take a bit as she's still wary of people. Canned salmon and Temptations winning her over :) She actually has started to let me pet her when getting a treat :) It's a process as I'm sure you know.

@NorthernInvader @Florence
Absolutely .... when I first got Butchie he was so shellshocked from having others return him to the shelter for no good reason, he hid from me and wouldn't eat for three days....vet said he was depressed. I worked with him and he turned out to be the best cat I ever had.

@Jacki @NorthernInvader How lucky that you both found each other. He was loved and had the home of his dreams, And you had the best companion ever. I always think with Tessie how fortunate I was to have her in my life. She and I went through many major life events together.

@Florence Tessie beautiful too. I agree with the soulmate part.

@Jacki I'm not sure we ever really get over them, I guess we just learn to live without them somehow. Flossie came along afterwards and partly helped to heal my heart.
