When I joined #CoSo, I did my intro and wished to post a photo of my cat, it came out sideways which annoyed me instantly. So I posted to say hello, rather grumpily by this time, and moaned about my sideways photo. Within seconds people came forward to explain how to post them the right way up (a tiny edit or crop will suffice) and all was well.
That kind, helpful welcome made me realise this was a different kind of space, not full of judgements but full of kindness.

@death_before_comic_sans Thanks! Honestly though, it totally rid me of my grumpiness and made me feel welcome and comfortable. Looking back, it also makes me realise just how 'urgent' everhything was over on the bird, here it feels more relaxed and just comfy. xx
@Florence Yep ITA. Like twitter was a decade or more ago. My adrenal gland is a lot less active here. LOL

I Try To Encourage Others To Come HERE…By Telling Them How Happy I Am …But Many Are Waiting Until The Bitter End …As If They Can’t Really Believe Twitter Is Dying…But Maybe They Come Here Then. This Platform Is Simple To Operate. And Mastodon ( Although I’m There Too) Is Ponderously Slow …& A Mite Confusing. Happier HERE!
