I'm autistic. The more I see of the world, the more I think to myself when watching neuro-typical, or non-autistic, people do and say things, I'm glad I'm not a part of that.

I've watched some serious lunatics run for office in these elections. Hate-filled, bile-filled, rhetoric which hurts people.

So, truly, if that passes for 'normal', count me out!

@Florence I'm mildly autistic myself and agree in part. Keep in mind though that those crazy people are much "louder" and thus draw attention more easily. Don't let them trick you into thinking they are the norm.

@EntropySloth You're right, I know. But the joke (to me) is that they are considered to be normal. 'Normal' people kind of see themselves as the perfection we should all aim for! I'm not aiming for anything, I'm quite happy being autsitic! 😆

@Florence It's become more acceptable to be outrageous, but it has taken its toll on a lot of people, combined with Covid, and they are feeling it, too.
