Confession: I hate this time of year.
THAT SAID: People find joy where they can and this year I'm finding myself to be not angry at all (I usually am) about people getting their lights up and decorations out on the lawn early.
Took me a while, I guess, but these last few years and maybe this last year specifically have shown me we need to be gentle with each other.
Find your happiness where you can. It's the little things.
Besides, the lights are pretty.
