@allin Add Arsenic and Old Lace to that and perfection. : )
@AskTheDevil @allin Ok, here is one "ten" list for me. Not definitive, but a slice: The Wizard of Oz, The Haunting of Hill House ('63), It's A Wonderful Life, Casa Blanca, Beauty and the Beast ('91), The Fugitive, Blade Runner, Alien, Birdy, Legends of the Fall.
@FinnegansWhacked @AskTheDevil Very nice! I can’t believe I forgot The Wizard of Oz and It’s a Wonderful Life!!
@AskTheDevil @allin Now now....😉
@FinnegansWhacked @allin Also. Judy Garland. And Bert Lahr as the cowardly lion.
I can't even pretend to be cynical enough not to like the Wizard of Oz, not for long. The ruse is too hard to maintain.
@AskTheDevil @allin I still love Judy's singing the classic "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" - truly a timeless rendition that's kinda burned into my DNA by now.
@FinnegansWhacked @AskTheDevil I can relate to that. Every Spring of my childhood we watched that movie on TV. I used to hide behind the couch when the witch and flying monkeys were shown.
I like to alternate it with the shirt from Girl Genius t-shirt that says "FOOLS! I Will Destroy You All (ask me how)"
@AskTheDevil I was skeptical, D, but didn’t want start a war….haha. Glad you came over to the Yellow Brick Road side. We have the Emerald City AND Flying Monkeys!
@allin I have a tshirt that says "Don't Make Me Get My Flying Monkeys"
@AskTheDevil I LOVE that! It would have been fun to wear when I was still teaching. I had a lot of funny tshirts that I would wear on occasion. It was a lab class and I usually had a lab coat on, so it worked well for me.
@allin A lab coat pairs well! : )
@FinnegansWhacked @allin Okay, I admit it. I still love the Wizard of Oz. I liked Wicked (the book), too, though. ; )
I mean, the Wizard of Oz is about Truth, Love, and Courage.
