@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine I mean...is someone just supposing this could happen? Or is it actually happening & we're just now hearing about it? I get it, we've become reliant on technology without having given a second thought to cybersecurity...ugh...it's all too much...I'm growing my own damn food...
@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine ...i don't doubt it's an issue...and i fully support young farmers, family farms, community farms, etc. I detest the system we're in that holds farmers hostage-literally-and allows this fiasco to continue. CSAs are the way to go-imho. We're under siege by millionaires/billionaires.
@FayreLylith Well here's the thing. Equipment is only repairable by dealers, now that the old repairable equipment is aging out and the big equipment is mostly leased, like the dealers have small farms by the throat. There are forums with info on how to get around, through, over by young farmers if you know what I mean. So that information is already out there...
