@bdonnelly @poindexter he was the extreme of obnoxious in the 80s no doubt . I didn't become a fan untill the 00s when he was on tv , he'd adjusted his shtick by then and was truly must see entertainment. And yes Bernie was his partner in slime , eventually leading to Imus's firing over the Rutgers incident .
But you're right , if you didn't like him then you'd hate him for sure .

@moheganman @bdonnelly @poindexter I grew up in RI, everyone knew Don Imus. Then the Rutgers incident happened. Back then I thought he should've been given a 2nd chance-not so sure my opinion would be the same today. I always thought Howard Stern was much much worse.

@FayreLylith @bdonnelly @poindexter stern was much more raunchyer , Rutgers incident was inexcusable but the imus of the 2008-2016 and his TV show was must see hilarity for me . I seem to be in a small group but I would get up early so I wouldn't miss a minute. I even relisten to those shows via you tube.
