I learned before the end of Clinton's first term that Democrats had changed. They weren't going to help the working class. I was 18 and knew that was going to be me for the foreseeable future. I'm a tiny bit Socialist, and all anti-fascist. I marched and torched things. I never vote Right. Not because I'm a Dem. But because I believe in Cpt. America, and The Repubs were already wrapping themselves in the flag and the cross for this day.

@rokkinbobokkin @sonnydenbow @grapho I'm much more a socialist & humanist...i've marched & supported those who torched things. the only thing i believe in these days is people's (usually the working class bc we're the ones who always lose out) right to not just survive-but thrive.

The major flaw in this performative Democrat Party for 30 years, pandering to each group they seek to hold under the tent, is that it lead to today's GOP.
Had they been supporting labor all along, each of these groups and then some, would have been happy to vote. They would have had loyalty. Instead....they ignored urban labour, teachers' needs, nurses' needs, rural people all around.
This is "chickens coming home to roost" as Malcom X would say.

@rokkinbobokkin @sonnydenbow @grapho ...and there you have it. Labor has been an easy target. It hasn't always been dems exclusionary practices. millionaires & billionaires who've bought & sold politicians for decades have weakened the party to the extent that we're now in the situation we're in. R's have had a different, self-aggrandizing/profit before people approach-which they've honed to a fine edge-and have out-maneuvered dems-in so many ways it's almost unfathomable...
