I channeled a lot of my stress over mom's medical situation into my garden and now I have soooo many plants omg.
It's been challenging with the cold snaps and extreme temperature variance this spring. The kiwis lost all their leaves and I had to replant the pumpkins, chantarais, and some of the watermelons and zucchini.
Has anyone tried no-dig methods? It seems like a pain but supposedly it improves soil health.

@haggardmom75 I also lost a tomato. The struggle is real. I went into the field behind my house and raked up a LOT of straw that I can bundle up with old sheets to protect the plants. Hopefully there's a little advance notice this time so I can prepare.

@Expecting_Words Well, I suppose the initial setup might seem like a pain, depending on what you have to work with, but in the long term, not digging is sure less work than tilling or turning the beds every year. I'm having some trouble with the yo-yoing temps here. Having to replant seeds, and I lost a tomato. I decided to wait and see if things stabilize a bit before I replace it.
