@PrChrisHarbin I'm in NY and the weather here has gotten real weird in the last decade. We get tornados now and those were unheard of when I was a kid.
@PrChrisHarbin I grew up in a watershed area with little development, surrounded by reservoirs that serve nyc, forests and swamps. There have been so many changes to the environment here. There are different trees - pioneer species taking over the roadside. Ticks don't die over the winter like they used to and they're everywhere. Ponds don't freeze over and there's way less snow. Dry periods are longer. Heat waves are more extreme. And obv the tornados. It greatly disturbs me.

@Expecting_Words We may not like to accept the idea of climate change, but when I was in central Virginia, they pointed out a mill pond from which they used to cut ice every winter to store in hay through July. The pond has not frozen since about 1980.
