Republicans are worried that if Trump doesn't win the 2024 nomination, he will run as an independent, which would damage the eventual Republican nominee's chances. Trump has not said anything publicly about the 2024 race, but his allies have been clear that he is considering it. While his current standing in the polls is strong, it’s unclear how long that will last.
@EricVandal I really hope he does that. He thinks winning will keep him out of prison, that's the only reason he's running. A lot will happen between new and the 2024 election. #politics
