@BlueVoter24 Definitely not something one sees very often! Hubby was held over at work in Lake County yesterday because his relief was stuck in traffic jams cause by jack-knifed big rigs whose drivers definitely didn't know how to drive in snow and ice.
@Embers It's a problem. You know, one thing I like about retirement, I don't have to drive anywhere anymore! I used to drive for a living like you husband.
@BlueVoter24 Well he commutes 118 miles to his job as a Firefighter Paramedic for 48-72 hour shifts then back home so doesn't drive for a living perse. His station is in a mountainous county with fairly narrow, often winding, roads to get there so inclement weather (or horrible wildfires) can make getting there or home problematic. He gets to retire soon thank goodness (though I think he'll hate not going on calls, he loves his work).
