I guess I need to figure out hashtags. And for what it's worth, I don't consider myself a #twitterrefugee per se, as I've found it difficult to reach people there. Facebook, o the other hand, has been increasingly less desirable over the last couple years, and I've been looking for an alternative. So I'm giving this platform a try.
