When I say healthcare is a crock of shit and insurance is a scam, I mean it.

What’s the point of paying a higher premium for a NO referral heath insurance policy, if I have to wait 2 weeks to see my primary, just to get a referral and probably wait a month for approval to see a specialist?

I recently found out that my current neurologist is out of network for my insurance so I need to transfer care to an in network.

That’s gonna make my headache go away…..NOT!

🤬🤬🤬

Update: Neurologist that is out of network returned my phone call. Said he’d be happy to do a transfer of care and he understood why. So that’s progress.

Granted I’ll probably have to wait a while for an appointment with in network provider, but will most likely have an appointment on the books before I ever see my primary for said referral.

I just don’t understand, aside from money that I’d have to see my doc for a piece of paper when it’s well documented in my medical chart.
