Many years ago, I, with effort, read The Talisman, by Stephen King and Peter Straub. What book by a great author were you most disappointed in?

-it's Supernatural and Sci-Fi Saturday!

@EdgeOErin Believe it or not, Pet Cemetery
The more you read, the more you knew how it was going to come out at the end.

@Darkenyght1701 Sometimes that is the way it is with books or movies that are raved about. I recall how disappointed I was in Eastwood's Unforgiven. It was okay, but nowhere near as good as many westerns, incl. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

@EdgeOErin I actually liked Unforgiven- the idea of the gunslinger forced back out of retirement.
Which now raises the question of was John Wick meant, intentionally or not, to be an ode to that idea?

@Darkenyght1701 I liked it, I just didn't love it. As far as the John Wick movies, and as much as I like Keanu, I thought the first one was good, and they got increasingly worse. The last one was terrible, but that's just me

@EdgeOErin They are getting a little more over the top as far as the fight scenes go.
I did like the sequence in the last one where as they go upstairs, they keep finding weapons.
" Oh look....swords" 😂
