It's all about usage, I think. I use 'ruffian' in the sense of 'troublemaker' or whatnot.
Will cockatoos deliberately chew off tree branches to pelt your car with? Yes. Will they deliberately conspire to flip open your rubbish bin to see what's in there and pick around until a single magpie comes to scare twenty of them off and tuck into your discarded chicken wings? Also yes! 😂 😆

i'd say pigeons but they're just nuisances. they don't actually physically try to assault you. cdn geese? totally do.
