Yeah, for 16yo me it was such an important thing, not least because it was less polished and more grungy than the hair metal stuff.
Sweet Child taught me who I wanted to be as a guitar player too: I could play all the rhythm and the first 2 solos, but had no interest at all in that first fast run of the wah solo and stuck to the big bend/minor pentatonic stuff.
Such an important lesson to be who you are, not what's fashionable.

@DyDave For me Steven Adler was a great pocket drummer that was basic enough that you could jam along and really learn your way around the kit without having to play anything too crazy.
It built a foundation to build from. 💙
