I'm 52 years old, and I was just diagnosed with autism. I've suspected since my 16yo was diagnosed two years ago, and now it's confirmed. I'm thinking about announcing it to family friends via Facebook, but I'm nervous that people won't believe me. Anyone else here get diagnosed in adulthood?

@Shelyndy I was diagnosed at 37 in 1999. One of the first females and adult to he diagnosed. Autism was thought to only affect boys.
