So I've played through Legend of Zelda, and am playing though Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link.

Both are great games but I still don't have a single clue how these were made and then it was expected that children would be able to beat them without the use of a guide. I'm 39 years old and the only way I'm getting through them is with a guide.

Why did they hate children so much???

@SocialistKitty They're really fantastic games but seriously these are games meant for adults yet they weren't marketed that way at all. The problem solving necessary to beat these games are not something the average adolescent would be able to achieve.

@DoggFacedGamer

Well then I won't bother you with the fact that my middle school boys walked me some of the hardest parts. 😂 And will never confess to the fact that I sat up all night before xmas playing their gift of Mario Brothers and couldn't get past the first level but my 14 year old niece slayed it in no time. She probably reminded me how old people of the 30 ish age range should stick to knitting and worrying about making dinner. Can't swear to that but she found my uncoolness funny.

@Eric_H I remember trying to play it as a kid and even only realizing years later that without the Nintendo Power magazine guides they were all but unbeatable.
