It has been rumored all week that the elusive street artist #Banksy was in war-torn Ukraine after a series of murals done in their style popped up around the country. Banksy confirmed the rumors were true this afternoon on Instagram.

Aw, Banksy. I was always impressed, as anyone is, with Banksy's amazing work. They were featured in my very first week of the first art course I ever took and I was only vaguely familiar with the body of work. (I'd subscribed to Juxtapoz mag for a while.) Learning a more complete sense of the whole history only made me a million times more interested in the art they make.
