To the people who develop cold symptoms but don’t take a test to see if it’s covid because “it’s just a cold” or “current variants are mild” and you continue to go out maskless because “what am I supposed to try to avoid this forever?” Pro tip: it’s probably covid and you are contributing to preventable deaths and long term serious health issues for many. The longer we allow this virus to spread freely, the more chance we are giving for even more dangerous variants to emerge.

I’m angry that masking requirements were removed. I remember a time when public health decisions were made to keep people safe and were based on science. If everyone wore a mask indoors for work, school, errands and transit that would reduce overall transmission, which would reduce the amount of covid at the fun stuff - parties and social events. No amount of gaslighting is going to make covid over. With the current rampant spread, new variants are happening so rapidly now I can’t keep up.

-What variant do I have? The B5 variant appears to be the worst of all previous variants, more contagious like omicron but also affecting the lungs like delta. Rapid increases in hospitalizations. Mild omicron killed far more people than Delta because it was so contagious. (3/3)
