With conference realignment back in the spotlight for college football, there are lots of theories about what's next. The article includes this suggestion: a #Pac12/#Big12 merger that takes the "best" 8 universities from each conference.
It would mean the following programs are left out in the cold: Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Oregon State, Washington State, West Virginia.
I think I'd go big--take everyone that's left from the Pac12, plus everyone in the Big12. Power/safety in numbers, I suppose.
Every school in each conference has something to offer--even if it's not on the football field.
