One thing you can do to make your profile more private is to turn off your PLP (public landing page). That is the only way your content or profile are visible outside of CoSo.
Within CoSo you can also "lock" your profile, which means you will need to authorize followers.
You can also control the visibility of your posts, either as a default through settings, or individually on each post.
