Hearing that the Colorado shooter was stopped by an unarmed Veteran and a Drag Queen is possibly the best news I've ever heard. Not to make light of it, but I would watch that buddy cop movie.
@NightKnitting good to know.
@DanIsWriting One of the -few- upsides to stubbornly keeping my heels dug in on the Bird Site I guess. The article writer also seemed to be in thread and apologized. I didn't know either so I think it's not that well known yet.
@NightKnitting yeah, I've heard almost nothing about it. But I also am ashamed to admit that when I heard the news, zero shock registered.
In a world of constant perpetual violence, its getting harder to commit myself emotionally to tragedy. But this new development gave some light to the darkness, I think.
@DanIsWriting I'm kind of in the same boat, but I think there's a difference still between not being shocked, but still being able to feel for the victims. The fact that we can no longer feel shock when it happens says more about the monstrous nature of those who do it and allow it than those of us who have to live braced for the possibility of it happening again, even while we fight to prevent it.
@NightKnitting well said
@DanIsWriting One of the club performers was on twitter making a correction that it was a Trans Woman not a Drag Queen this morning, but I agree, that would be an amazing movie.
