I just found one of those jumbo candy canes in my bedroom side table. At best guess it’s been in there three years. I kinda assume it’s no good.

Some would argue that, being entirely sugar and food coloring, it was no good to begin with. That said, I'd eat it. 😂
If it's wrapped and only a few years old (not like 10), and not falling apart or discolored, I think it's probably okay.
Bacteria doesn't grow in pure sugar, or highly sugary foods. In fact that's why old-time meat curing processes always contained some sugar (natural or processed).
