@Gracked I would lock them up because they are trying to do irreparable harm to priceless works of art. Shame on them for that. That we are in a crisis which needs vocal and even physical protest is one thing - I completely agree. But I put these people on par with book burners, and that is a tactic with which I will never agree.
It's like killing innocent people for making a political point. Shameful.
@natharari @Gracked I have to question how they were so easily allowed to get so close to the art without security issues.
@natharari @Gracked I believe the one that had soup thrown at it was behind glass anyway, so probably no real risk to it, although I believe the frame did get dirty. I'm guessing if all the works are behind glass, then it's not really much of an issue on security.
@Crow_inACage @Gracked Most works of art are not behind glass. But I guess that's going to change with these protests.
I'm still outraged at this tactic. Plus, it angers the population against the cause. The cause is just and protesting against valid "targets" would be justified in causing disruption to the lives of people who are harming the planet in a direct way (not harming them physically however). This would be entirely a justified protest means.
Targeting works of art is not valid.
