You can't tell someone
you love them and then
vote for someone who
will hurt them.

@CriticalCupcake Exactly
@CriticalCupcake If only this were true. People often vote against their own self interest and the interests of others. The 2-party system guarantees it: voting for the lesser of 2 evils is still voting for evil.
For far too long I've kept hoping we'll get at least one more political party to be on equal playing ground as the Dems and Repubs but at my age, I'm no longer hopeful of this.
@CriticalCupcake Sister-in-law had the nerve to tell my wife that gays are ruining the church- and then stuttered and tried to back track when she remembered her sister is a lesbian.
@Boilergal ffs :/
@CriticalCupcake Right?!? She forgot which of the 7 siblings she was talking to.
@CriticalCupcake You can, but if you do, youβre an asshole, and you do not deserve those folx in your life. π
@CriticalCupcake reminds me of βSomeone whoβs nice to you but rude to a waiter is not a nice person.β
@CriticalCupcake it is REALLY hard for me to be okay with people who vote against my sonβs best interests. VERY hard. I feel like screaming at them βyou support those who call transgender people like my son a βgroomerβ, and you say you love him?????β
My mom is one of these folks. She's a veteran, senior citizen, living off social security & her investments yet if the politician supports a woman's right to choose or is for marriage equality, she won't vote for them.
I'm done attempting to get it thru her stubborn ass brain that neither of these issues affects her in the least bit but by voting for a Repub, she's fucking herself over and her kids.

@see_the_sus @CriticalCupcake yeah I donβt even bother with it anymore
