Welp, gotta say it's been a couple of decades since I've heard "Dot or Feather" but here we are.
I'd like to say that the Indian women I have hired over the years have been some of the best colleagues I have ever had.
Both dot and feather. SMDH.
It was perfect coming from Asha as it shone a light on that backwards mentality. I was just taken aback since it had been forever since I'd heard it phrased that way.
@Cosmichomicide HIs profile is full of compelling evidence that he is really fucking dumb.
I just inferred that from his handle, but yeah.
@gshevlin @Cosmichomicide kinda surprised he could compose that much ignorance, he had help?
@Cosmichomicide the 1st time i heard that was when i was on a 1st call w/ a new lumber customer who lived in sask. my name is unusual so he asked where it was from. i said indian. he asked 'dot or feather?' it took me a second to understand the question.
and b/c he was a customer & i was a female in an all male all white trading floor, i answered dot.
i've heard it a few times since. mostly on the prairies. never in bc. 🙄
