Maybe we can all start treating patients based on the laws in the state where they were born, since we are now free citizens of states and not a country where we can expect equal treatment from state to state.
BTW, that is sort of sarcasm.
But it is entirely possible. Addicts have no monetary value to a capitalist society and are actually drains on services. Plus, clearly not good Christians or they would be rewarded with magic money for being patriotic soldiers of [insert religion].
Same with the homeless, disabled, and the elderly. The hard truth is that a fully capitalist society puts these people in the loss column and tries to write them out as quickly as possible.
