@Boyceaz Maya Wiley came in third in the 2021 Democratic primary first round, after Eric Adams and Kathryn Garcia, and was eliminated from the final round along with Andrew Yang and Scott Stringer. In the final round, Adams received 42.9% and Garcia 42.2%.

In the general election, Adams received 66.99% to Curtis Sliwa's 27.76%. Sliwa is the guy who staged his own kidnapping.
